Accessible only by stair, it is not possible for all visitors to explore the Great Tower at Warkworth. To allow these visitors to understand and experience the spaces inside, WAM Interactive created a large scale cast iron model of the tower and the spaces within. 

Using survey drawings, photographs and a photogrammetric model we produced a digital model of the tower, capturing as much detail as possible. Working with a specialist foundry this model was used to produce a 3D printed sand moulds into which the iron was cast.
